Adam Getliff

Adam is Programme Manager (International) in the Enterprise and Innovation Office at the University of Leeds, where he is responsible for supporting academics to develop international partnerships with industry. In this role he has been instrumental in securing collaborative research projects from countries across the world.

He has a strong background in foreign direct investment having headed up the Asia Pacific Team at Yorkshire Forward for several years and was the project lead for the UK’s first chemical manufacturing investment from Japan. He latterly headed up foreign direct investment and marketing for the bioscience and chemicals cluster at the Regional Development Agency.

He has a background in international relations having worked in that field in Japan for four years, and is a fluent Japanese speaker.
