Chris Scholey

Chris Scholey is a physicist by training and has held a range of managerial roles throughout a career in manufacturing working in refractories, industrial gases and plastics before becoming managing director of Rexam Glass in 1995. Rexam being the fourth largest packaging company in the world.

On leaving Rexam, Chris moved into the public sector taking over as managing director of Renaissance South Yorkshire(RSY), responsible for the regeneration agenda for the four South Yorkshire local authorities, Objective 1 and Yorkshire Forward. It was at RSY that Chris became involved with the Advanced Manufacturing Park, taking on responsibility for its continued development. Today Chris operates as a Non-Executive Director and independent consultant, particularly assisting small innovative companies to further their development as well as representing Yorkshire Forward as their Ambassador of the AMP.
