Neil Sullivan
Neil has a PhD in Molecular Genetics (Edinburgh), an MBA (Imperial College), an LLM in Commercial Law (Northumbria) and a BSc in Biochemistry and Chemistry (Southampton). He has had a long career in scientific research and biotechnology commercialisation, with experience in several small biotechnology companies (some successful some not!) and has started two companies de novo. He has worked for Unilever as an agreements advisor particularly in the fields of diagnostics (lateral flow devices and biosensors) and plant biology.
His current research interests lie in the field of anti-malarial pharmacology. Neil has been with Yorkshire Forward for the last six years where he advises on the Healthcare Technologies and Biotechnology sectors. He is passionate about the development of these business sectors in the region and thoroughly understands the importance of product and service innovation in achieving a successful and sustainable business.
