Award Categories

The Innovator/10 Awards aim to reward and celebrate businesses in Yorkshire & Humber that have achieved significant commercial success through innovation, and to encourage other regional businesses to follow their example by demonstrating the value and benefits of innovation in improving their performance and competitiveness.

The awards are open to all businesses of any size based in or with a significant presence in the Yorkshire & Humber region, including third sector organisations, and business units of the research community, universities, public and private sector research organisations.

There are four categories open to applications. You can enter more than one category.

• Innovation in Action Award

  Find out more about this category

  This award aims to reward and celebrate an innovative new product, process or service developed in Yorkshire and Humber which represents a significant advancement for their industry or sector, and which offers outstanding opportunities for future commercial success.

• Partners in Innovation

  Find out more about this category

  This award aims to reward and celebrate businesses that have collaborated with and used the resources and knowledge of the region’s research community on a defined project which has resulted in the successful development of an innovation with potential to deliver significantly improved business performance and commercial success.

• Young Innovative Business Award

  Find out more about this category

  This award aims to reward and celebrate young businesses that have demonstrated creativity and entrepreneurial flair in the launch and early growth of a business. Success must be based on innovative products, processes or services that have a track record of early commercial success, and have potential for further growth and expansion in turnover, profits and employees.

• Sustainable Innovation Award

  Find out more about this category

  This award aims to reward and celebrate outstanding advances by Yorkshire & Humber businesses in environmental sustainability through the development and marketing of innovative products, processes and services. This award can also recognise organisations that have introduced innovative management of natural, manufactured and human resources, for the long-term benefit of their staff, shareholders, customers, suppliers, the environment and the wider community.
