Lord Stafford - Partners in Innovation

The award aims to reward and celebrate businesses that have collaborated with and used the resources and knowledge of the region’s research community on a defined project which has resulted in the successful development of an innovation with potential to deliver significantly improved business performance and commercial success.

The Innovator/10 Awards and the Lord Stafford Awards, based in the West Midlands, have joined together to celebrate businesses that have collaborated with the research community through the Partners in Innovation Award for Yorkshire & Humber, in the hope to raise the importance of knowledge transfer partnerships on a regional and national scale.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applications are accepted only from the business concerned on behalf of the collaborative partnership. However, all partners identified in the winning submission will be recognised as award winners.
• Partnerships can involve any number of businesses and academics, departments, and institutions.
• All academics, researchers, departments and business units must be based in universities or research centres located in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
• All Higher or Further Education institutions, research institutes, and public and private research centres are eligible partners.
• Activities such as collaborative research and development, licensing, spin-out company formation, joint ventures, contract research, establishment of commercial services, are all eligible.
