Terms & Conditions

1. Entrants may enter as many categories as they wish, but individual businesses may only offer one entry per category.
2. All entries must be submitted and authorised by a Director or other individual in the business with authority to accept these Rules and Conditions on behalf of the company, and to divulge the financial and other commercial information contained in the application.
3. Entries are welcome from small, medium and large businesses based in the Yorkshire & Humber region, and from Yorkshire-based individual and significant business units of larger organisations.
4. All entries must be submitted by registering on the Awards website, and then completing and submitting online an application form. Application forms are self-contained, and the only additional documentation you will need to provide will be an image of your product/process/service (if available) and your company logo. Any other information or documentation submitted will not be assessed by the judges.
5. All entries must be submitted online by 17.00 hours on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 either on the awards website at www.innovator10.com or in the post. Late entries will not be accepted.
6. Entrants who are short-listed must agree to take part in media publicity, to cooperate with the filming of a video to be shot at their company’s premises which will be shown at the awards ceremony, and to agree to allow a case study of their winning application to be prepared and used by Yorkshire Forward in any future publicity.  Representatives of all short-listed entrants must make themselves available for filming in February/March 2010.
7. The first round of judging takes place during week commencing 14th December 2009, and the second round during week commencing 18th January 2010. The short list of 12 entrants (3 per category) will be announced on Friday 22nd January 2010. Judges visits to all short-listed companies take place during the weeks of 1st and 8th February 2010, followed by the final judging during week commencing 15th February.
8. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday 3rd March 2010.
9. All information submitted will be treated as confidential and will not, subject to 7 above, be disclosed to third parties without the express permission of the entrant.
10. Yorkshire Forward cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any infringement, loss of, or for the protection of patents, copyrights, or any other rights in the products, processes, services or ideas submitted as part of this competition. 
11. There can be no appeal against the Judges’ decision and these decisions must be accepted as final in respect of all matters concerning this competition, including the interpretation of the rules and conditions.
